The world cup is allready half way and there are a lot of things to talk about from a sports point of view but also from a marketing point of view. England will face Germany in another classic but one thing we should take into consideration are the ambush marketing techniques that are taking place [...]

Thoughts from Prague Igaming Affiliate Conference

May 31st, 2010 | By Antonis | Category: Marketing

I came back from Prague affiliate conference last Friday and I have to admit it was a pretty nice experience for someone new like me into the affiliate conferences. Even if I was tired in making trips all the way back and forth to Greece-London-Prague last month we managed to do a really good job together with the affiliate team of Smart Live , using basically guerrilla marketing tactics.

Facebook Privacy: Non Existent

Apr 24th, 2010 | By Antonis | Category: Marketing

Well everyone were waiting to the announcements by Facebook in the F8 conference and they were not disappointed as what was said was really important for the web and people in generall. It gave an idea of where we are heading and what is expected in the following years. Also what is really important is that we got a clear idea of what Facebook has as a target , more or less what everyone else wants also..to take over the web.

Being on the Marketing Industry means that you have to learn and use every media you can get and never underestimate the power that it has. Give Sky Sports to the people

Apr 6th, 2010 | By Antonis | Category: Featured Articles, Marketing

Trying to see the Champions League Game of Barcelona against Arsenal while you are sneezing all the time is never easy. So, Google decided to take action and stop censorship in China of the google.cn site. The decision they took is that they will give the ability to the Chinese to search freely (as possible) from a site in Hong Kong. Well that’s nice, but all these stories bring up the importance of internet right now [...]

Annoying your customers

Mar 11th, 2010 | By Antonis | Category: Marketing

There are many things that I don’t like when I surf the web. Sometimes I feel that surfing the web is becoming to be more difficult than driving in the middle of London or my hometown …Athens…and believe me driving along side with some hundreds crazy warm blooded Greeks is not the ideal thing for your morning.

Jan 21st, 2010 | By Antonis | Category: Marketing

Sorry, its been a long time since I have written anything on this blog. Unfortunately its been really difficult time as I have struggled to keep up with work and moving out to a new place. After 5 years wondering around in different areas of London and Luton I’m going back to Central London which will be quite interesting as I will be meeting my brother again …hmm family reunited?

Google Android Day

Jan 6th, 2010 | By Antonis | Category: Marketing

The first Google mobile phone was rolled out yesterday in Mountain View, California. Even if it was expected for a long time the presentation left rather a lot of questions than answers to the reporters that were over there.

Interactive Banners

Dec 10th, 2009 | By Antonis | Category: Marketing

One of my favourite things lately is to create as much as possible interactive banners for our customers in Betfair.gr.  In order to do that you need to have good designer and a really good creative mind (ok it wasn’t so hard to think..i agree… ).  My designer is one of the best I ever [...]
